The design and dimensioning of the structural elements of a building are closely related to the accurate assessment of the dynamic parameters thereof. The modelling of the soil-structure interaction has become a prerequisite for the current design of buildings and this is in particular due to the influence that it has on the structure’s self period of vibration. In this respect, there is a method proposed so as to make a connection between the discrete model and the foundation soil, with a view that the results achieved through calculations be as close as possible to the actual results. In addition, the influence of the infrastructure’s stiffness on the results of the analysis is also marked out.
