				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On the 11th of September 2015 POPP &#038; ASOCIATII won the 2014 AGIR AWARD in &#8220;Civil and Industrial Buildings Engineering&#8221; domanin, by presenting the project: Rehabilitation and Structural Strengthening Process for the Patriarchate’s Palace, Bucharest.</p>
<p>The monument is of highly national significance, especially that it served as the seat of the Romanian Parliament for nearly a century. The building’s overhauling project is of increased difficulty. The most important elements that had to be takend into account were the wealth of architectural details, the building’s sheer volume and its location on an unfavourable, steep hill. The building’s seismic safety was increased by introducing reinforced concrete stiff cores, coupled together by newly cast rigid slabs. The adverse effects of the steep hill were adressed by introducing a „pile support wall”, along the monument’s outer perimeter. The piles were linked together with an extensive raft beam. Furthermore, a large number of horizontal and vertical steel tie thrusts were introduced in the building’s walls. The thrusts were placed in the longest wall boreholes ever made in Romania for such a project.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The article contemplates the technical solutions used in the performance of the <strong>structure </strong>of the “GREEN GATE OFFICE BUILDING”, located at Tudor Vladimirescu Blvd. in Bucharest (5<sup>th</sup> district). Vertically, the building consists of four basements, ground floor, eleven floors and a setback technical floor, the total over-ground height being of <strong>52.40 m.</strong></p>
<p>Given the financial crisis that has impacted our country for some years now, the main objective targeted by any developer is that of performing its investment at <strong>a cost as low as possible</strong>. The pursuit of such goal has revealed as <strong>optimal solution </strong>for the performance of the structure the solution which incorporates both a <strong>cut-down cost</strong> of reinforced concrete elements in the superstructure and the “<strong>top-down</strong>” construction method for the infrastructure.</p>
<p>A significant <strong>decrease of the loads</strong> triggered by the weight of superstructure slabs has been achieved by using the <strong>post-tensioned flat slab </strong>solution.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong>technical solutions </strong>employed for the performance of the structure of the “GREEN COURT BUCHAREST” office buildings, located at 4 Gara Herăstrău street in Bucharest (2<sup>nd</sup> district), were <strong>innovating </strong>solutions, being also imposed<a href="http;//www.examwow.com/1Z0-605.html">1Z0-605</a> by the dimension and complexity of the project. Vertically, the building consists of <strong>three basements, ground floor </strong>and <strong>twelve floors, </strong>the last floor being deemed to serve technical purposes. The total over-ground height is of around <strong>54.15 metres</strong>. This project has approached state-of-the-art technological and design solutions at national level, the most important thereof being the following: &#8211;          precinct performed of <strong>buried diaphragm wall</strong> of a 60-cm thickness supported by means of a row of <strong>post-tensioned anchors;</strong> &#8211;          implementation of the BIM and of the “Safety by Design” systems. Furthermore, a series of <strong>emergent products </strong>on the Romanian construction market have been adopted, such as: &#8211;          mechanical devices aimed at ensuring <strong>rebar continuity;</strong> &#8211;          <strong>special mandrels </strong>made of high resistance stainless steel, specific for the take-over of <strong>differential settlements </strong>between the building units; &#8211;          performance of steel <strong>coupling beams </strong>of a height of up to 2.5 out of 40 mm thick steel sheets etc.</p>
